Who is eligible to become a volunteer firefighter?
The Holbrook Fire Department is an equal opportunity employer. You must be at least 18 years of age, physically fit and provide a criminal record check. You must possess a valid New York State drivers license. The candidate is also required to take a medical stating that they are in good health and able to participate in Fire Fighting activities.

 If I have no training or experience, can I still apply?
YES, no experience is necessary as we will provide training for you. As a Probationary member with Holbrook Fire Dept., you will be required to participate in a mandatory 1 year probationary training program.  During this time you will be trained in Firefighting, Vehicle extrication, and Medical Emergencies.

Please stop by the Main Fire house at 390 Terry Blvd. and pick up an application. You will then be contacted by a member of the applications committee and an interview date will be set up.
